TMC Charitable Foundation – Priority Projects

The TMC Charitable Foundation provides vital funding to Truman Medical Centers for the advancement of patient care and a vibrant, healthy community.  Top funding priorities include:

The Better Health for a Better Life Campaign

A $1.9 million landmark community challenge grant by the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation was awarded to TMC Charitable Foundation in April 2012. The challenge requires that TMC raises $7.4 million by April 10, 2013, for important capital projects.   In addition, an additional $1.2 million is being raised to fund vital oncology patient programs and endowment not included in the grant.  The Better Health for a Better Life campaign includes these projects:

• Relocation and Expansion of the Oncology Center at Hospital Hill
• Mobile Dental Clinic to serve Independence School District Elementary Students
• State-of-the-Art Critical Patient Care Systems
• Renovation of the Family Surgery Waiting Area at Hospital Hill

Your thoughtful consideration – and generous gift – is especially important to the more than 100,000 people in our community who turn to Truman Medical Centers each year for their healthcare needs.
